Harley Longboard Tri Fins on Hawaii Island

Present go-to surfboards are: Kai Sallas 9' "Slipper", Harley Ingleby 7' 10" Mid 6, and a Takayama 7'2" Egg. Ironically, I don't use the Harley fins on the Harley board. That works just fine as a quad. The fin set primarily for the Kai Sallas longboard with occasional migrations to the Egg.

The large fins enable a high-line drive difficult when the usual 2+1 cluster doesn't deliver what I'm after. The wave here is steep and fast over shallow rock reef. I turn to the Harley Longboard Tri-Fins when it is head-high +. Bigger and I pull the Mid 6 quad from the quiver. The Harley fins work very well in better-than-usual glassy, powerful overhead waves.
